Mario Testino Captures Wedding Of Kate Moss And Jamie Hince In Vogue September 2011

I have a confession to make. In the beginning, I did not understand the Kate Moss phenomenon. Call me old-fashioned, but after a decade of Amazonian supermodels pulsing with glamorous, bosomy life, I simply didn’t understand the Piaf-bodied waif with the wan, faraway look in her eyes, nor the Corinne Day and Nigel Shafran photographs that set her adrift in bleak welfare apartments or on gray English beaches.

And then I saw her across a crowded room at a fashion party in Notting Hill, and I was stopped dead in my tracks by her laughing beauty and preternatural elegance. (“I never did a hairy armpit,” says Kate firmly of those late-eighties grunge moments. “You can look dirty, but you can’t be dirty!”) The simple fact is that Kate is irresistible. There is vulnerability and there is strength, and when she turns on the klieg light of her flirtatious, giggly life force, it is impossible not to fall just a little bit in love. And Kate’s conquests are legion. A pantheon of illustrious cultural figures who define our age have fallen under her spell—including designers John Galliano, Marc Jacobs, Gianni Versace, and Dame Vivienne Westwood; photographers Mario Testino, Annie Leibovitz, and François-Marie Banier; and artists Marc Quinn, Banksy, and Lucian Freud—not to mention a slew of high-profile paramours who have run the gamut from the courtly and urbane to the mad, bad, and frankly dangerous to know.

But how do you catch a cloud and pin it down? Who would, in the words of David Tang, Kate’s wedding-day master of ceremonies, succeed in “persuading not the most easily persuadable girl to marry him”?

Enter Jamie Hince, the 42-year-old guitarist of the critically acclaimed rock band the Kills. “I’ve met them all throughout the years,” says Testino, “but he is the most real. He has a great sense of humor.”

“And style,” adds Vogue Contributing Editor Camilla Nickerson. “And he’s sweet and tender, very loving.”

Frieda Pinto For InStyle Magazine September 2011

Director Danny Boyle took a chance on them and Freida’s career has continued to surge from strength to strength.

She has now with Woody Allen in You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger and plays the female lead in Rise of the Planet of the Apes.

Freida stars in the film, telling the pre-story to Planet of the Apes, alongside 127 Hours actor James Franco and Andy Serkis.

But the modest Bafta-nominee said: ‘I don’t know if I can call myself a pioneer. I never knew it was going to happen the way it happened.

The Kardashian Kollection Hits Sears U.S. Stores August 25th

It was never going to break new fashion ground, but for fans of the Kardashian sisters’ style, their new collection for Sears won’t disappoint.

The Kardashian Kollection, which officially arrives in 400 of the retailer’s U.S. stores on August 25, is available to buy online from today at a 30 per cent discount in a ‘pre-sale’ to celebrate its launch.
As one would expect, the line bears all the signatures of Kim, Kourtney and Khloe – figure-hugging dresses, printed pantsuits and of course, sky-high platform shoes.

Katherine Schwarzenegger For Harper’s Bazaar September 2011

The California sun is shining down on the Malibu Country Mart, an upscale mall in the beachfront town that’s complete with Ping-Pong tables, lounge chairs, and a Top 40 soundtrack. From a speaker hidden in a palm tree floats out Adele’s soulful voice, singing, “Tears are gonna fall, rolling in the deep.” “Oh! I’m obsessed with Adele. It’s the best emotional music,” exclaims Katherine Schwarzenegger, the oldest of the four children of the recently separated Maria Shriver and Arnold Schwarzenegger. “These past two months, I’m like, Bring it on, Adele.”

Schwarzenegger, 21, is in Malibu taking a breather before heading off to Greece to help her family with the Special Olympics, a longtime Shriver cause. Besides cranking the English belter’s hits, she has visited the mall a few times. “I’m like, retail therapy all the way,” she says, gesturing at her new gray tank dress from James Perse.

She’s accessorized the dress with crystal necklaces, piles of beaded bracelets, and two delicate rings she never removes: a cross and an evil eye given to her by Shriver. “I’ve always been way closer to my mom,” says Schwarzenegger, whose face is a softer version of her mother’s, with the same blue-gray gaze, framed by brunette waves. “Even when I was little, I was glued to her all the time. I’m close to my dad, but they’re totally different kinds of relationships.

“I talk to my mom about six times a day, and we constantly e-mail in between that,” she continues. “People say that I’m her twin. I guess it would be the Kennedy genes; my cheekbones are coming out. We’ll be at the breakfast table and my mom will look over at me and say, ‘I see them!’”
